Natural Health Day for Farmers, Growers, and Land Owners

£0.00

🗓️ Thursday 17th September
🕰️ 10:00 – 16:00
📍 Knowle Farm, SP5
💸 Optional contribution
🎟️ 20 tickets available

Farming and growing is difficult - the practices, the process, and the policies. It's not surprising, therefore, that many farmers are struggling. The Farm Safety Foundation found that 9 in 10 farmers say poor mental health is the biggest hidden problem facing the industry today.

At the heart of Common Nature's vision is a desire to care for the people who care for our land. This support will come through a dedicated wellness programme for farmers, growers, and land stewards. It will also come through offering them the opportunity to open their land to local community in a commercial and meaningful way. The vision for Common Nature is to create a network of 100 places where natural health programmes are run for local communities.

As we devise this wellbeing programme, and begin to build this network, we'd like to invite a group of local farmers, growers, and land owners for a day that moves between two things. The first is a taster of elements from our natural health programme - practical, science-backed tools across breathwork, movement, mindfulness, and nature. The second is a collective exploration of how the wellbeing of farmers can be better supported in this country, and what it means to run a truly healthy farm.

This day will be hosted by Simon Lamb, Founder of Common Nature and Wellness Practitioner, together with Andres Roberts, Advisor to the brand and Founder of The Bio-Leadership Project. The day is fully funded by Common Nature, with no expectation of payment. That said, we'll invite optional contributions before and after the event, for anyone who feels called to support the movement.
