🎟️ 20 tickets available
Teachers have one of the greatest influences on the future health of the next generation, and yet they are among the most under-supported professionals in the country. Studies have found that 77% of UK teachers experienced symptoms of poor mental health due to their work last year. Meanwhile, less than 1 in 10 children now regularly play in wild spaces, compared to almost half a generation ago.
Common Nature has the ambition of contributing to a national shift in our culture of staying well through time in nature. At the heart of this is supporting teachers with their wellbeing, knowing that when they are resourced and inspired they can take these practices and principles into the schooling system. Our teachers can help create the next generation - one with the skills and inclination to stay well with nature.
We're inviting teachers local to Knowle Farm to join us for a day that moves between two things. The first is a taster of elements from our teachers' wellbeing programme - practical, science-backed tools across movement, breathwork, nature, and communication. The second is a collective exploration of how we can better embed nature in the UK curriculum.
This day will be hosted by Simon Lamb, Founder of Common Nature and Wellness Practitioner, together with Andres Roberts, Advisor to the brand and Founder of The Bio-Leadership Project. The day is fully funded by Common Nature, with no expectation of payment. That said, we'll invite optional contributions before and after the event, for anyone who feels called to support the movement.
